Thank you for all the feedback that was provided during the first stage of public consultation on the proposals for the redevelopment of Farm Lane.
Throughout the consultation process, there have been several key questions that have been asked by multiple respondents.
We have tried to address these within our Frequently Asked Questions document, which can be found by clicking on the below PDF.
This should help answer many of the questions that the local community has.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Dear All,
This is our third round of consultation exhibitions and events about the proposed development of new homes on the Aintree Estate.
These new homes are to replace the recently demolished Hartopp Point and Lannoy Point tower blocks.
We are still developing our designs and we want to invite you to our third round of consultation before we submit a planning application early next year:
We will use the next round of comments to refine our designs further before we submit a planning application. We will continue to record your feedback so that we can show how your comments have been considered. We will capture this in our Statement of Community Involvement. This report will form part of the formal planning application submission. Anyone can make further comments on the proposal as part of the planning application process.
You are invited to the third in our series of public consultation events. We expect this to be the last consultation stage before a planning application for the proposal is submitted in early 2022.
The project team will be hosting an online public consultation via Zoom on Thursday 25th November:
We will also be holding an in-person, drop-in event on Saturday 27th November at Sir John Lillie Primary School, 245 Lillie Rd, London, SW6 7LN. You can meet the team from 12.00 pm – 4.00 pm.
This is a step-free venue, and we will be taking the necessary measures to ensure we meet all COVID precautions.
Access to the in-person event is via the school entrance on Lillie Road (via the gate next to the zebra crossing on Lillie Road).
Thank you for getting involved and we hope to see you during the third round of consultation events.
If you have any questions please get in touch with us at aintreeestate@newmanfrancis.org or telephone us on 0800 644 6040.
Best wishes,
The Hartopp and Lannoy Project Team

After widespread consultation with residents, businesses and stallholders, we’re starting work on improving North End Road.
We’re making the road safer by bringing all market bays up to pavement level. We’re repaving footways, planting new trees, installing new street lighting, creating charging points for electric vehicles and electricity for market traders, putting in additional seating and upgrading lampposts.
After being delayed by Covid, we’d planned to start the work this autumn. However, as Thames Water is repairing a sewer in the road at the moment, we’ve brought the work forward to minimise the number of times the road will be disrupted.
The improvements will start on Monday 28 June . I’m sorry for the short notice but hope you’ll agree it makes sense as Thames Water has already started work in the road with limited warning to the Council. The work will happen in stages – the market side of the road should be completed by next spring and the other side of the road by this Christmas. The road will remain open for shopping throughout.
I apologise in advance for any inconvenience to you and hope you’ll like the results. An artist’s impression of how the road will look is below.
We’re funding this with money we’ve negotiated from developers and with a successful bid we made to the Greater London Authority. We’re currently exploring funding for further improvements to the road. If you have any questions, please contact Michael Masella at the council or our contractor FM Conway – details below.
Best wishes,
Cllr Andrew Jones Cabinet Member for the Economy

Hammersmith & Fulham Council has successfully secured more than £2m of funding to help make North End Road a more thriving, sustainable and welcoming high street and market.
It forms part of the work we’re doing in our community-led redesign of North End Road.
We’ve teamed up with Retail Revival to make sure we’re making the right improvements, which local people want and need, to the historic market with the new funding.
We invite you to complete our survey to help us make some positive changes to North End Road Market.

Thank you for taking the time to give us your views on addressing the climate and ecological emergency. We've had a great response and will be feeding back some of the key findings shortly.
In the meantime, you might have your own ideas on community projects that could improve your local environment or raise awareness of the need for all of us to play our part in helping to combat climate change. If you're inspired to set up a community garden or a food waste project, create community art from recycled materials, or raise funds for a green energy installation on a community building, you can join the many organisations across H&F who have used crowdfunding platform Spacehive to raise funds for your idea.
H&F Council has a partnership with Spacehive and have created our own page, the H&F Hive , for projects raising funds in the borough. The council has two funds on the H&F Hive to which local projects can pitch. To date, there have been 43 great projects that have successfully hit their fundraising targets, raising from less than £200 to £112,000!
To find out more about the H&F Hive, the funds available and the projects that have raised, and are currently raising, funds, go to: https://www.spacehive.com/movement/hf/
Do you want to save money on your energy bills? The government is offering up to £10,000 to make your home more energy efficient with the new Green Homes Grant. If you qualify and are successful, you could get a voucher to make improvements that will:
If your household is on a low income you can apply for 100% of the cost of improvements, up to £10,000. All other homeowners and landlords can apply for up to two-thirds of the costs, receiving up to £5,000.
For example, if you’re not on a low income and you install insulation costing £4,000, you will only pay £1,320. The government would pay the remaining £2,680.
Not only could this save you hundreds of pounds per year on your energy bills, it will reduce your carbon footprint too and help in our efforts to combat the climate and ecological emergency.
If you rent your home, energy efficiency improvements to your rented home could save you money on your bills. Please get in touch with your landlord about this opportunity.
What’s included?Energy improvements for your home can include:
Once you’ve used part of your voucher on these improvements, you can use any left over for upgrading single glazed windows, energy efficient doors, or hot water tank thermostats and heating controls.
How do I apply? For more details, and information on how to apply, visit the Simple Energy Advice website or call 0800 444 202.
Why does it matter?More than 20% of Hammersmith & Fulham’s carbon emissions come from domestic heating. We can help stop this simply by making our homes better insulated and replacing gas boilers with sustainable alternatives.
Thank you to those of you who have already responded to the consultation on the Defend Council Homes Policy. We can see from your responses that residents of our council homes love where you live, and why it is so important that you are involved in any decision about your home's future.
You'll have read that we worked with council residents to develop the policy. It aims to protect your interests and make sure that if there are any redevelopment proposals affecting your home in the future they can’t go ahead unless you’ve had the opportunity to be fully involved from the very beginning.
Cllr Lisa Homan, Cabinet Member for Housing, has recorded a short video to explain more about why this policy is so important. You can watch it here:
It's important that we get a big thumbs-up from residents for the policy, because the greater the support for the policy, the stronger its protection will be.
This consultation will close on Friday 2nd October 2020, so please help us to spread the word to your neighbours and friends who live in council homes, so we can make sure their views are counted along with yours. Send them this link to the consultation: https://hfdefendcouncilhomes.commonplace.is/
Thank you to everyone who has responded to the Parks Commission consultation – there has been a great response and some really interesting ideas put forward for improvements in our parks and open spaces, and for how to involve more residents in decision-making. To enable more people to give us their views, we have decided to keep the consultation open for longer.
The new deadline for submitting comments is Sunday 21st June.
We're asking for your help to spread the word and encourage more people to have their say. Please do pass this link to friends and neighbours and share in any social media groups you belong to: https://hfparks.commonplace.is/
Hope you all had a good weekend!
Thank you again to those of you who have added your comments to the map - we're delighted to see so many residents getting involved and having a say on the future of Brackenbury. Just a reminder that this phase of the consultation ends this Wednesday, 31 July . If you would like to add any further comments, or encourage your neighbours to have their say, please make sure you do so by the end of the day on Wednesday. Click here to add your comments .
Once we have analysed everything you have told us, we will be putting forward some proposals for improvements, and asking for your views again. We are committed to working with you to make positive changes for the Brackenbury area.
